Cover College Costs with a CU Student H.E.L.P. Loan

Greenville Heritage FCU has partnered with CU Student Higher Education Loan Program (CU Student H.E.L.P.) to offer a private education loan program that gives borrowers a 12-month grace period after graduation, no penalty for prepayment and special rates and fees exclusive to credit union members.

“You may qualify for federal student loans. We encourage prospective customers to exhaust federal student loan options before applying for a private student loan, as federal loans are often less expensive and offer the widest variety of repayment options.”

But when scholarships, grants and federal loans aren’t enough, a CU Student H.E.L.P. can help you fill the gap. Private loans allow for a loan to be placed in the student's name and no payments are required while the student is enrolled at least half-time. These are credit-based loans, so Greenville Heritage encourages all loan applicants to apply with a creditworthy cosigner to increase their chances of approval and of obtaining a lower interest rate and/or loan fee.
