GHFCU History
Greenville Heritage FCU was chartered in 1941 for the purpose of serving the financial needs of employees of the City of Greenville and their immediate families. Since its original charter, the credit union has expanded its field of membership to include the employees of Greenville County as well as other employee groups of select companies and organizations desiring credit union membership benefits.
Greenville Heritage FCU is a not-for-profit organization, owned by its members and governed by a member elected Board of Directors. The purpose of our existence is to encourage systematic savings through various types of investment plans and to provide low cost loans and other financial services as required or requested by our membership.
Your money is safe and secure
Greenville Heritage FCU was chartered and is supervised by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. A regular examination is made by NCUA as well as an annual audit by outside auditors to assure the credit union is operating within the guidelines as established by NCUA.
